CamSpace - "any game, any webcam"

"CamSpace is a program that allows the user to control his favorite games and applications with any webcam. Use your body and arbitrary objects to replace the mouse and joystick!
Currently, CamSpace only works for Windows, but Mac and Linux versions are on the way..."

Strange Attractors 2

Strange Attractors 2 by Ominous Development, is looking fantastic. It's the follow up to one of the finest one button games ever - Strange Attractors. This time around two switches are needed (emulating the left mouse click and the right mouse click) - and a powerful PC (mine isn't up to the job sadly).
Your controls enable activation of positive or negative gravitational forces in nearby floating objects in order to manipulate your orb about the screen. Take a look at the video clip above for an idea of what you need to do. It's looking very nice indeed, and has already been nominated for an award at PennyArcade.com's PAX-10.
The game has a one button menu system that kicks in after about 5 seconds. For one button gamers - team play may be the solution (one player has positive gravity control, the second negative). I'm also wondering straight away if a 4Noah profile could be used to make this game one-switch compatible. I'll keep you posted.

This DVD, directed and produced by the man using head-controls over a two year period, documents his life and passions. These includes how he dealt with becoming paralysed at the age of 14, his friends, family and a sizable chunk on accessible gaming and his superb art work.Proceeds will support Robert to keep supporting the push for greater accessibility in gaming. Milling About Second Life using Brain Waves

Although not strictly a game, "Second Life" has many sub-games. It has also garnered the attention of people wishing to improve it's accessibility for more players. The video above shows brain waves being used to control the on-screen character around it's environment. One switch "Second Life" coming soon too...

4Noah - 1 button control over multiple-button games

4Noah is a fantastic PC utility project allowing one switch gamers to control games that use two or more buttons (to a maximum of six at present). This is a wonderful endeavour that has so much potential to open up more games to more severely disabled gamers.
The above video shows a single button (the left mouse click) playing Tempest 2000. One click moves you left - click again to stop - click again to move right - click again to stop - and repeat... A rapid fire feature helps keep you in the game.
I would imagine some games will prove to be too fast for some gamers, which is where Speed Control utilities such as CPU Killer can assist a gamer further still.
The programmer of 4Noah is looking to develop the brilliant idea, and would really appreciate any support you can offer (ideas and technical). Contact the programmer here.

Blind Gamer Shreds Guitar Hero

A short YouTube video of a prototype Guitar Hero controller for blind gamers. The gamer wears a glove for fret work. Small transponders tap the guitarists fingers, prompting them as to which buttons to press. Inspirational work from Eelke Folmer and his team.
